Week 37: Decay

IMG_9223 copy

Last weekend we took a drive over the the Buffalo Central Terminal with our main objective being to attend a train show for the boys. I brought my camera to get a few shots of the boys in all their train glory, but ended up sneaking into this little abandoned part of the terminal (of which there are many) I snapped a few shots, and would have loved to do more but I was pressed for time and wearing tiny sandals and walking on broken glass everywhere. Here's some others...

Week 36: In my garden

IMG_9026 copy
It's getting to be the end of gardening season, which is very sad to me. This is my favorite flower in my own garden- the "Lord Baltimore" hibiscus. It's a big flower, about the size of my hand. It also has this great stem, which is fun to photograph. The other late bloomer is my sunflowers. They grew quite tall this year, and I found a little friend hiding in one.

Week 35: The Italian Job

IMG_9087 copy
Meet sweet 5 day old Nunzio Angelo Coniglio. He is my friend Collene's baby. You may remember Collene's maternity pics from several weeks back. Nunzio was a good boy during our photo session and only showed off those Italian lungs a few times.
Here's more...

Week 34: Chunky Monkey

IMG_8960
Yes this is our friend Sara again. She's at that golden baby age where she can sit but can't crawl...perfect for photos. She was so much fun during our session and I had to fight Owen off with a stick (or distract with Yo Gabba Gabba) so he'd stay out of the pics. Here's some more!

Week 33: Andrew and Kaitlin

IMG_8787

Aren't they cute? These are my boss's kids that I had the privilege to photograph for her last week. Andrew is 4 and Katilin is 2. She and Owen were belly buddies, as she was born a few days after him. Here's some other photos

Week 32: Newport

IMG_8627 copy

Way late- my apologies. I was away in Newport, RI last week and then had a power outage on my day off, so I'm posting late this week. I was somewhat uninspired for photography while I was away because I was too busy relaxing on the beach. I took this shot from the rooftop hot tub at our hotel.

Week 31: Garden Tour Part Deux

IMG_8494 copy
Last week I went on another garden walk, this time it was Buffalo's. The photo above was a white flower against a green background and I tried a different black and white perspective on it. The rest of the shots are very colorful.
I took significantly less photos at the city walk because it was so crowded. I didn't want to be the girl taking up the 12 inch wide path sticking her butt into the crowd trying to get perfect focus. The other reason was that many people had their gardens roped off-not too convenient for a macro buff. Here's what I got.

Orange balls seemed to be a theme. I love the little garden table behind it too.
